Traffic / Transportation Engineer

Tampa, Florida

Join one of the industry’s leading firms, known for delivering innovative land development and environmental engineering solutions nationwide. With a strong presence across the East Coast, the firm is seeking a T raffic / Transportation Engineer to join their growing Transportation practice. You will perform traffic & parking studies, transportation studies, traffic management and roadway designs across multiple market sectors including; healthcare, sports, commerical office, retail, mixed-use etc.

You’ll work closely with experienced engineers and planners to deliver high-quality traffic and transportation design solutions for public and private sector clients.

Responsibilities:

• Performing planning and permitting of traffic/transportation engineering, land development and infrastructure projects.
• Prepare traffic impact studies, transportation analyses and safety studies.
• Develop traffic models and simulations using SYNCHRO, HCS, etc.
• Support the design and analysis of roadway improvements.
• Assist on draft proposals and engineering documentation.
• Supervise the work of junior engineers

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Current EIT required OR Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• 3+ years of experience in transportation / traffic engineering.
• Profiency with software such as Synchro, HCS etc.
• A collaborative mindset with the ability to mentor and lead junior engineers.
