Jennings Air & Mechanical is a trusted leader in commercial HVAC construction and mechanical systems . We are actively hiring experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics to support our expanding operations in Charleston, SC . If you're skilled in ductwork installation , HVAC fabrication , and sheet metal layout , we want you on our team.

Key Responsibilities

 

• Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications for proper sheet metal duct layout
• Install and fabricate a variety of HVAC duct systems, including TDF, TDC, Slip and Drive, Spiral, and Snap-lock ductwork
• Perform on-site duct modifications, miters, transitions, and custom fittings
• Ensure efficient, clean, and code-compliant installation of air distribution systems
• Work with project teams to meet deadlines and maintain job site efficiency
• Adhere to all safety guidelines, including PPE usage and OSHA requirements
• Maintain punctuality, professionalism, and a strong work ethic on all job sites
  
   

Qualifications:

 

• 3+ years of experience as a Sheet Metal Mechanic, HVAC Installer, or similar role (preferred)
• Proficiency in reading mechanical blueprints, duct layouts, and shop drawings
• Skilled in installing and assembling both rectangular and round ductwork
• Familiarity with duct fittings, hangar supports, and HVAC layout practices
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions with attention to detail
• Clean background check is required
• OSHA 10 Certification is a plus
• Strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills
