A licensed Registered Nurse with Certified School Nurse (CSN) credentials or relevant school nursing experience is needed to support an elementary and middle school community in Los Angeles, CA. This contract role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care and wellness coordination for students in grades K-8.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform general school nursing duties including assessment, treatment, and management of student health issues.
• Oversee the schools wellness program to promote a healthy educational environment.
• Implement specialized healthcare procedures tailored to individual student needs.
• Coordinate and conduct health screenings to monitor and support student well-being.
• Collaborate with staff and families to ensure health policies and interventions are effective and accessible.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure.
• Certified School Nurse (CSN) preferred, or demonstrable school nursing experience.
• Experience working with elementary and middle school students (grades K-8).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

Location and Schedule:

• Position based in Los Angeles, CA 90049.
• Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Initial placement for Extended School Year (ESY) program, with probable extension into the Normal School Year (NSY).
