certifications, GSA Schedule applications and responding to Federal, State, County, Local and Municipal
bid opportunities.
Job Description:
GSE is seeking a talented 1099 contractual Proposal Writer to join our team. As a Proposal Writer, you
will be responsible for working one-on-one with our clients to prepare compelling proposal responses
that help our clients win new business opportunities and support the growth of our organization. You
will collaborate with GSE’s Quality Assurance Administrator for proposal writing assignments, and to
ensure client satisfaction throughout the proposal process.
Responsibilities:
Write clear, persuasive, and articulate proposals tailored to the RFPs respondent requirements
and specific to our clients’ capabilities and offerings.
Research, gather, and organize business and technical information needed for proposal
development.
Edit and proofread proposals to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency in content and format.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in PC software suites (i.e., MS Office, Google Workspace, Adobe)
Proven experience as a Proposal Writer in the government contracting arena.
Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to understand and synthesize complex technical and business information.
Strong project management skills and ability to meet RFP deadlines.
Exceptional client communication skills and the ability to adapt to/collaborate with a spectrum
of business industries and business owners.
Preferred Skills (Not Required, but a Definite Plus):
Knowledge of graphic design principles to enhance proposal aesthetics.
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
