We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry-Level Bookkeeper to join our nonprofit team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records and supporting the financial operations of our organization. Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records by entering data, recording transactions, and ensuring the proper documentation of accounting activities.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable transactions, ensuring timely and accurate payments and collections.
  • Reconcile bank statements and assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Support the finance team in budget tracking and monitoring.
  • Help manage donor records and handle related financial processes.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for audits and other financial reviews.
  • Communicate with vendors and donors as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25 per hour

Expected hours: 24 per week, flexible schedule must be in office

Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • An associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks) is a plus, but not required.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
