Position Overview
Bogle, LLC is seeking a Government Proposal Writer to support proposal development and strengthen responses for government contracting opportunities. This role is focused on writing and editing, with an emphasis on producing clear, compliant, and persuasive content. The writer will collaborate with internal subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop narratives that demonstrate an understanding of government procurement requirements and evaluation criteria.
Success in this position requires sharp attention to detail and a commitment to delivering professional-grade proposals under rapid turnaround times.
Responsibilities
Write, edit, and refine responses to RFPs, RFIs, and RFQs for federal, state, and local government opportunities
Provide light support for grant proposal writing when needed
Collaborate with SMEs to gather information and translate technical details into compelling narratives
Ensure proposals are compliant with solicitation requirements and evaluation criteria
Draft technical sections such as methodologies, implementation plans, and timelines
Create and maintain a proposal content library for efficiency and reuse
Deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines and shifting priorities
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience writing proposals for government contracting, with a record of supporting successful submissions
Familiarity with government procurement language, processes, and requirements
Strong technical writing and editing skills with the ability to synthesize SME input into well-structured content
Experience writing proposals in government-related areas such as consulting, IT, or professional services preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience with proposal tools
Bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, Business, or a related field preferred
Flexible, detail-oriented, and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities independently
Additional Details
Employment type: 1099 contractor
Remote role with minimal in-person requirements
Work may be project-based, hourly, or fixed-price depending on client needs
