Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for an ESL Teacher to support K-12 students in a dynamic educational setting in Joliet, IL. This contract position offers a full academic year commitment, providing a rewarding environment to foster language development and cultural understanding among diverse learners.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and effective English as a Second Language instruction tailored to students in grades K through 12
• Develop and implement lesson plans that accommodate various learning styles and proficiency levels
• Assess student progress regularly and adjust teaching strategies accordingly
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff to create an inclusive learning environment
• Communicate with parents and guardians about student growth and areas for improvement
• Participate in professional development opportunities and staff meetings as required

Qualifications:

• Certification or licensure in TESOL, ESL, or related field preferred
• Experience teaching English language learners across K-12 grade levels
• Strong knowledge of ESL instructional strategies and assessment tools
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
