We are seeking an experienced Elastic Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain solutions leveraging the Elastic Stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, and Beats) to support data indexing, search, analytics, and visualization needs. Experience with Kubernetes and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is highly recommended, as you will be responsible for deploying and managing Elastic solutions in cloud-native environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize Elastic Stack solutions for data ingestion, storage, search, and visualization.
• Deploy, scale, and manage Elastic Stack components in Kubernetes environments.
• Create custom pipelines, optimize searches and reindex
• Create and maintain helm charts
• Integrate Elastic Stack with OCI services, ensuring secure and efficient cloud deployments.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Elastic Stack performance and reliability.
• Collaborate with DevOps, UNIX, Windows, and application development teams to deliver scalable and resilient solutions.
• Implement security best practices for data protection and access control within Elastic deployments.
• Stay current with Elastic Stack updates and emerging best practices.

Required Skills and Experience

• Secret Clearance or above
• Possession of CompTIA Security+ certification (or ability to acquire within a month of starting the role)
• Scripting and Automation Proficiency: Strong skills in Ansible for the installation of monitoring tools, along with expertise in PowerShell and Bash scripting for automation and integration tasks efficiency.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Elastic Certified Engineer or similar certification.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
• Familiarity with Javascript, YML or Ansible
• Hands-on experience in administering a self-managed Elasticsearch cluster on VMs and transitioning to Elasticsearch on Kubernetes (ECK) using helm charts for tech refreshes.
• Deep understanding of all components of the Elastic Stack and their integration in a complex technical environment, with the ability to optimize for peak performance. Knowledge of APM would be especially impactful.
• Containerization and Orchestration Experience: While Kubernetes expertise is preferred, additional experience with Docker and other containerization technologies would be advantageous for monitoring containerized applications.
• Linux Administration: a foundation in Linux system administration, with expertise in managing, securing, and optimizing Linux servers in a high-availability environment.
• Incident Response and Problem-Solving Skills: Demonstrated ability to lean into incident response with a calm and effective approach, alongside excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting complex issues.
• Experience with Git and Git CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
