We want your knowledge and expertise!Job Summary and Qualifications1. *Demonstrates proficiency in operating and trouble-shooting equipment used in the EKG lab.2. *Prep patients and apply holter monitors.3. Restocks work area with necessary supplies. Keeps work area and equipment clean and orderly to promote patient safety.4. Assists with compiling bi-weekly and monthly data.5. *Respond to stat orders as received.6. *Demonstrates proficiency in performing routine EKGs, Signal Averaged EKGs, Rhythm Strips, and EKGs7. with and without the magnet.8. *Provides coverage for weekends and holidays.9. Executes departmental procedure for clerical processing of EKGs.* THOSE SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS WITH AN (*) ARE ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS CONSIDERED NECESSARY TO ACCOMPLISH THIS JOB.QualificationsEXPERIENCERequired - Six months experience in patient care in a hospitalPreferred - Six months experience performing EKGsEDUCATIONRequired - High School DiplomaPreferred - High School Diploma, Medical TrainingLICENSURE:Required: American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care ProviderCJW Medical Center is comprised of Chippenham Hospital and Johnston-Willis Hospital.
