Job Title: Superintendent


Position Summary:


The Superintendent will be responsible for the day-to-day management of construction sites for federal projects. This role involves coordinating and supervising all on-site activities, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and maintaining high standards of safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in federal construction projects, strong leadership skills, and a thorough understanding of construction processes and regulations. Travel is required, as projects can vary state to state.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all phases of construction projects, including planning, execution, and completion, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and federal requirements.
  • Manage and supervise on-site construction teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project milestones are met and work is performed to high standards.
  • Coordinate daily construction activities, including scheduling, material delivery, and equipment use, to optimize productivity and minimize delays.
  • Ensure compliance with federal regulations, safety standards, and company policies, conducting regular inspections and enforcing safety protocols.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication with project managers, clients, EOR and other stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress, challenges, and changes.
  • Review and approve work completed by subcontractors and vendors, addressing any issues or discrepancies promptly.
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, AHAs and safety records.
  • Identify and resolve any issues or conflicts on-site, implementing solutions to keep the project on track.
  • Ensure that all project deliverables are completed within budget and in accordance with contractual agreements.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum of [5] years of experience as a Superintendent or in a similar leadership role on federal construction projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing federal construction projects, with a deep understanding of federal regulations, requirements, and compliance.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and direct teams effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate and address potential issues proactively.
  • Proficiency in construction management software and tools (e.g., Procore)
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, project teams, and stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Travel will be a requirement to facilitate project demands.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with a variety of federal project types (e.g., military, government buildings, infrastructure).
  • Certification in safety management (e.g., OSHA, PMP) is a plus.
