Company Overview: Pioneer Homes, a dynamic construction company specializing in single-family home builds and commercial construction, seeks a detail-oriented and analytical Construction Accountant to join our team.

Position Summary: The ideal candidate will support the financial operations of residential and commercial construction projects, working closely with project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and the leadership team to support job costing, budgeting, purchase activities, invoicing, administrative support and general financial administration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and reconcile project budgets, job cost reports, and general ledger accounts
• Monitor construction project costs and provide financial insights
• Prepare monthly financial supporting statements, accruals and bank reconciliations
• Assist in purchasing processes, including issuing purchase and work orders, reconciling invoicing, and cost tracking
• Monitor accounts payable, create variance reports and coordinate vendor payments
• Support administrative tasks including document control, vendor contracts and reporting compliance
• Collaborate with project managers and field teams to ensure operational and financial accuracy
• Utilize accounting software and spreadsheets to track and report financial data

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Accounting experience in construction or related industries working with subcontractors and vendors
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., BuildSoft, QuickBooks, or similar)
• Experience with purchasing and procurement practices
• Strong computer skills, including being Excel proficient and general office tools
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong organizational and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently and with a team, communicating effectively

Full Time, Exempt position, 40 hours per week

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Competitive salary depending on experience
