Job Description

The Clinical Pharmacist position will work directly with the health care team and patients to provide safe and effective pharmacy services in addition to the dispensing of medications. The pharmacist will provide ambulatory pharmaceutical care services using approved guidelines in collaboration with other health professionals, including managing patient drug therapy and providing patient education. Minimum Requirements: Graduate of an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy with a Doctor of Pharmacy degree and a California pharmacist license required, or be certified by the Foreign Pharmacy Graduate Equivalency Committee (FPGEC) issued by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy. Minimum 2 years as a practicing Pharmacist required, 3 years is strongly preferred. Bilingual English/Spanish/Mandarin/Cantonese, strongly preferred. Board certification (BCACP) in ambulatory care or completion of a Pharmacy practice residency is preferred. A minimum requirement of a valid BLS certification or higher, following the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross guidelines.
