📢 Job Opening: Claims Filing Specialist

Location: Brentwood, TN 37027

Schedule: Monday – Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Pay Rate: $18.00/hour

🧾 Position Summary:

Seeking detail-oriented and organized professionals for the role of Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) Claims Filing Specialist . This position is responsible for ensuring that insurance claims are accurately and efficiently submitted, either electronically or via paper, while maintaining compliance and meeting departmental performance goals.

🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit claims manually or electronically in compliance with procedures
• Identify and correct billing or clearinghouse errors for resubmission
• Investigate and escalate any payor filing issues requiring additional documentation or updates
• Reconcile daily claims between billing systems, work queues, and clearinghouse
• Act on correspondence related to claims and take appropriate action
• Maintain familiarity with systems, tools, and workflows used in claims processing
• Meet established metrics for accuracy and productivity
• Adhere to professional standards, policies, and expectations
• Perform other duties as assigned

✅ Qualifications & Desired Traits:

Education:

• High school diploma or GED preferred

Experience:

• one or more years of experience in healthcare billing (electronic and paper claims) preferred
• Relevant education may substitute for experience
