We are looking for a skilled Cash Application / Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Brentwood, Tennessee. This is a Contract-to-permanent position with a leading organization in the financial services industry, offering an excellent opportunity for growth and development. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing cash applications and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial operations.

Responsibilities:
• Accurately post cash payments received to the appropriate accounts.
• Reconcile accounts receivable activity to ensure proper alignment with financial records.
• Process and generate AR invoices in a timely manner.
• Conduct regular cash reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain detailed records of cash applications and accounts receivable transactions.
• Collaborate with internal teams to address payment issues and improve workflows.
• Utilize Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and reporting.
• Support month-end and year-end closing processes related to cash applications and AR.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cash applications and accounts receivable roles.
• Proficiency in posting payments and reconciling accounts.
• Strong knowledge of cash reconciliation processes.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheet creation and analysis.
• Familiarity with Microsoft D365 is preferred but not required.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
