Lawyers on Demand (LOD), a Consilio company, is assisting a law firm client in identifying an experienced Business Litigation Attorney for a remote, long-term engagement . This role is mostly remote but will require occasional in-person court appearances in the Chicagoland area .

Position Details

• Start Date: ASAP
• Location: Primarily remote; candidates must reside in the Chicagoland area and be available for occasional court appearances
• Hours: Full-time (30 hours/week), with flexibility to increase
• Duration: Long-term, open-ended contract
• Compensation: Starting at $95/hour, dependent on experience

Responsibilities

• Provide legal research, analysis, and support in business litigation matters, including:
• Breach of contract disputes
• Shareholder disagreements
• LLC and partnership agreement conflicts
• Draft briefs, motions, and legal memoranda to support litigation strategies

Requirements

• Licensed and in good standing with the Illinois Bar
• 5+ years of business and/or commercial litigation experience
• Proven ability to manage litigation matters with minimal supervision
• Strong legal research, drafting, and oral advocacy skills
• Must reside in the Chicagoland area and be available for in-person court as needed
